  • Leakage of the fluid
  • Abnormal colored or foul smelled discharge
  • Severe pelvic pressure
  • High fever or headache that won’t disappear

All the above conditions are signs of labor and delivery. So, it is very essential to call your care provider during these conditions.

In pregnancy week 28, if you are RH negative, then your practitioner will administer a shot of RhoGAM, which is made from human blood.

This helps to prevent sensitization at the time of delivery. This shot will also be administered to you within 72 hours of birth if the baby is RH positive. You will not be administered with the second shot if the baby is RH negative.

This is the period for hemorrhoids, itchy skin, leg cramps, pains and aches, indigestion, heartburn, varicose veins, and swelling. Now, your uterus is about 3 inches above the navel. By this point, you will gain the weight of 17-24 pounds.

  • The baby’s adrenal glands produce androgen and estrogen. The hormones stimulate your hormones to start the production of milk.
  • Your baby’s eyes open up with a new set of eyelashes.
  • Still your baby’s skin has more wrinkles because of constant immersion in amniotic fluid.
  • From this week, your baby is more sensitive to sound, light, smell and taste.
  • The grooves and folds of your baby are still continue to develop and expand.
  • The baby will become plumper and rounder and by this week, the baby has 2-3% of body fat.
  • You will observe great improvement in the baby’s muscle growth.
