Gonadotropine releasing analogs
This infertility treatment is suitable for the women with irregular menstrual cycles or who ovulate even before the egg matures. The main point of the treatment is to suppress the pituitary glands’ activity. This way the hormone production is altered and the follicle growth can be induced through the use of FSH.
Aromatase inhibitors
This is a class of fertility treatments that includes anastrozole and letrozole. The treatment is used for patients with advanced stages of breast cancer. The doctors also use it in case of patients who can’t ovulate and who didn’t have any response to clomiphene citrate.
There are some downsides of the infertility treatment. These include the fact that the FDA didn’t approve for inducing ovulation. In the same time the treatment’s effects on early pregnancy are yet unknown. This means that if you manage to get pregnant, the treatment can have some side effects.
Bromocriptine
This treatment for infertility is used in case of patients who don’t have regular menstrual cycles because of high prolactin levels. This is a hormone which stimulates the production of milk in case of the new mothers. The treatment prevents the hormone’s production.
