Prolactin
The hormone is also used in case of the fertility test and just as in the previous case it is also produced by the pituitary gland. The level of the hormone could rise if you have small benign growths or in case you take different kinds of medications.
Thyroid tests

Progesterone test
7-10 days after ovulation you should have a blood test as part of the fertility test because this is the time when the progesterone levels should be at their peak. If the hormone level is between normal ranges it means that you have a normal ovulation and you should be able to get pregnant.
Male fertility
The first step of the test for fertility in this case is sperm count. This is done at an urologist or a male fertility clinic. In the majority of the cases this is done before the woman has any kind of testing. The sperm is collected through masturbation in a sterile cup.
For the best results regarding fertility test it is good for the patient to abstain for 3 days and the sample should get to the clinic within an hour after ejaculation. After this, the doctors evaluate the sample regarding sperm count, volume, morphology and motility. This way the doctors can assess the quality of the sperm and the fertility of the patient.
