But before going into labor, there are many things that a woman must keep in mind to ensure a safe delivery. There are both dos and don’ts that a female has to consider before labor starts and to know more about the same, you can go through the following given information.

Know the Basics of Breastfeeding

As soon as the baby enters the world, you will need to breastfeed it in order to feed it and to establish a connect. Thus it is important to know all the basics of breastfeeding before labor hits. Breastfeeding can be a challenging experience and to make it smooth, learn the basics by reading books or asking someone experienced.

Get the Nursery Ready

Another thing that you will need to do before labor is to get the nursery ready with the crib, toys and other items that complete it. Make sure it has enough storage and is a nice and comfortable space for your baby and you.

Get the Hospital Bag Ready

Labor can hit anytime and can be very unexpected as well. Thus it is the right thing to get your hospital bag ready and packed beforehand. You will not get the time to do so if labor pains start and hence it is better to pack the things needed well in advance.

Keep Important Numbers on Speed Dial

If you are alone when labor pains start, then you may not have the time or the mind to make calls to your partner and other people. Thus it is important to save the important numbers of speed dial or have a message ready to be delivered to all of them.

Don’ts Before Going to Labor

Don’t Choose C-section over Normal Delivery

Before you go into labor, you will need to make your decision regarding the method of childbirth. You can either get C-section done or opt for normal delivery but it is important not to select C-Section over normal without knowing its consequences or the differences between the two.

Don’t go for Induced Labor

A lot of people around the world are opting for induced labor so as to avoid waiting or avoid waiting for normal pains. No matter how uncomfortable you are, never choose to go for induced pains or induced labor as it poses risks for both the mother and the baby.

Don’t be Discouraged if things are not Going as Per Plan

Another thing that you must not do before going into labor is to fret, worry or go upset if things are not going as per plan. Be positive, remain happy and believe that everything good is happening to you. The last thing you want is to feel upset during the process.
