Estimate Your Delivery Date Using Pregnancy Due Date Calculator!

Is your pregnancy confirmed? Congratulations.

Now, you will be excited to know your delivery date, the date where your baby will arrive.

It can be done using pregnancy due date calculator.

On the other hand, to estimate the pregnancy due date, your doctor will simply add nine months and seven days to the date of your last menstrual period.

For example, the date of your last menstrual period was October 9, 2007. Then add nine months to that date and you get the date as July 9, 2007.

Now add seven days to the resultant date and you get the date as July 16, 2007. So, the expected pregnancy due date would be July 16, 2007.

Normally, the length of pregnancy will be 40 weeks (280 days) from the first day of your last menstrual period, which is about 266 days from conception, approximately two weeks before the next menstrual period.

You can determine the delivery date using pregnancy due date calculator. It is an effective tool that helps identify the date of delivery, conception date as well as the fetal age (the status of pregnancy).

Estimating the pregnancy due date using pregnancy calculator is very easy and simple once if you know the date of your last menstrual period and length of your menstrual cycle.

Remember that the more proper information you provide about your monthly cycle the more precise the pregnancy due date calculator will be.

To use pregnancy due date calculator, enter the date of your last menstrual period and the length of your menstrual cycle. The calculator provides information about your pregnancy due date, the date of conception and the number of weeks of your pregnancy from the given date.

It also provides the period of high risk for birth defects, the beginning of the fetal organs, and the dates of first, second, and third trimesters of your pregnancy.

For example, if you enter the date of your last menstrual period to be 12/09/2006 (MM/DD/YY) and length of your menstrual cycle to be 29 days, the pregnancy due date calculator will display the information as follows: Estimated Due Date – 9/16/2007, Conception Date – 12/24/2006, your pregnancy is on day 256 out of 280.

The fetal organ formation begins: 1/14/2007 and major organs have formed: 2/18/2007. The period of high risk for birth defects: 1/14/2007 to 2/18/2007.

Your first trimester (weeks 1-12) begins on: 12/24/2006, your second trimester (13-27 weeks) begins on: 3/4/2007, and your third trimester (28-40 weeks) begins on: 6/17/2007.

Remember that pregnancy due date calculator provides accurate results for an average 28-day menstrual cycle and the result might not be accurate when the menstrual cycle is shorter or longer than the average cycle.

Calculating the pregnancy due date is essential to plan for your prenatal care. However, it is found that only five percent of these results have come true.

In other words, five percent of babies are born on the calculated pregnancy due dates. Mostly, the delivery of the baby occurs one or two weeks before or after the pregnancy due date.
