Is Pregnancy Still An Option After Abortions Or Miscarriages?

If you are thinking about getting pregnant again after you have had multiple miscarriages or abortions you will want to make sure that you give yourself enough time to heal both physically and mentally.

Having one abortion or miscarriage can really affect you emotionally and time will help you to put everything into prospective once again.

Also your body needs to be in the best physical shape possible so that you will not have to worry about losing your baby when you do become pregnant.

Procedures That Will Help

Whether you are someone who has had several abortions or miscarriages you still may be able to get pregnant when the time is right for you. It will depend upon what happened during your abortion or what kind of miscarriage you went through.

Sometimes abortions and miscarriages can leave scarring. You may have to get this scarring taken care of before you will be able to have a baby. Your physician might want to do a procedure that will put a camera into your uterus to fix this problem.

Another problem that could arise if you have had a lot of abortions is that sometimes your cervix will dilate too early. Your physician will be able to help you with this by putting stitches into your cervix that can be removed later.

Seeking a Specialist’s Help

You may want to seek a physician who is a specialist in the field of reproductive endocrinology to ensure that you have a safe and healthy pregnancy. This type of physician is skillfully trained in fertility and obstetrics.

Since you have had multiple miscarriages or abortions it would be a good idea to consult this type of physician. They will be able to understand and help you with any problems that may arise when you are trying to get pregnant and after you are pregnant.

Emotional Help

Even though you will be able to get pregnant again and this should be the happiest time for you, old memories have a way of sneaking their way back into your mind.

It is always good to have an emotional support group to support you once you get pregnant again. This support group can consist of several of your family and friends or a support group of strangers that have the same things in common about pregnancy that you do.

The Right Information

Everyone around you may want to offer you advice when you decide that you want to get pregnant again.

Some family members and friends may think it is too soon for you or that you will not be able to handle another pregnancy. This is a personal decision which should be made by you and your partner.

Even your physician will only suggest when they think it is a good time for you to get pregnant but in the end they will leave this up to you.

To help you make the right decision you will need to get all the information possible when it comes to getting pregnant after several  miscarriages or abortions.
