Lack of menstruation

The majority of women know their body well enough to know how long their menstrual cycle is supposed to be. If you think that your period is late, you might want to take a pregnancy test.

The lack of menstruation is caused by the fact that the embryo buries itself into the lining of the uterus and as a result, this won’t shed.

Swollen breasts

This one of the signs of pregnancy and menstrual cycle can also be a sign of menstruation.  Usually the breasts feel full and heavy. The symptom may be misleading so if you notice it, you should keep an eye out for the other symptoms as well.

Bloating and cramping

When it comes to the menstrual cycle and pregnancy symptoms, cramping and bloating are also possible before your period. However, during the early stages of pregnancy you can also notice some weight gain. In the moment when the embryo gets embedded into the endometrium, women may notice some spotting or vaginal bleeding.

Food cravings

Some women agree with this pregnancy sign and menstrual cycle while others say that it is just a myth meant to justify the big appetite of women. If you do experience cravings, they will last during the entire pregnancy and in the majority of the cases women crave salty foods.

Tiredness and fatigue

The fact that your body has to maintain your health and the development of the baby leads to this one of the menstrual cycle and pregnancy symptoms. The specialists believe that the fatigue is caused by the increased progesterone levels and by the fact that the body of the mother has to produce more blood cells.

Higher body temperature

You may know about the warning signs of pregnancy and menstrual cycles that around the time of ovulation the body temperature increases. This change will persist during the early stages of pregnancy as well. It may be a sign of pregnancy if the symptom persists for over 3 weeks.
