Fertility Treatment To Solve Your Infertility Problems!

Fertility treatment refers to the treatment to improve your fertility problems and increase your chance of pregnancy.

Fertility is the ability to conceive and give birth to a baby.

However, you can conceive naturally through sexual intercourse with your spouse or through techniques such as Artificial insemination.

It is found that approximately six million couples in the United States are with fertility problems.

The fertility problems result from the abnormalities of reproductive system such as blocked fallopian tubes, ovulation disorders, hormonal imbalance and irregular menstrual periods.

In female reproductive system, there is a pair of ovaries located on either sides of the uterus (where a baby grows). The ovaries are responsible for production of eggs. An egg (ovum) is released from one of the ovaries every month during menstrual cycle. This process is called ovulation.

Without ovulation, eggs are not released and fertilization may not take place. This can occur when you have irregular menses or no periods.

The ovaries are also responsible for the production of hormones estrogen and progesterone to standardize the menstrual cycle and pregnancy.

The other factors that cause fertility problems are age, obesity or underweight, strain, lack of nutrition, health problems such as thyroid problems, medications, smoking, alcohol and drugs.

You can solve these fertility problems and increase your chances of becoming pregnant through fertility treatment. Therefore, the aim of fertility treatment is a healthy pregnancy and giving birth to a healthy baby.

There are several fertility treatments based on your fertility problem. The fertility treatment ranges from medications to the surgery depending on the cause of infertility.

For treatment, your doctor will conduct few tests to identify the cause and the treatment option.

If your test results depict an ovulation disorder, then fertility drugs may be prescribed to normalize the ovulation process, as these drugs motivate the ovaries to produce eggs during your monthly menstrual cycle.

If you are with blocked fallopian tubes or endometriosis, then In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) may be recommended. The IVF treatment is also known as a ‘test tube baby’.

In this treatment, the ovum is removed from your body and is allowed for fertilization in a laboratory. Once conception occurs, the embryo is placed into your uterus (womb).

Artificial insemination is another fertility treatment, which is recommended when you have sperm antibodies in your cervical mucus. It is a process of injecting your spouse sperm into your body to increase the chances of fertilization.

Artificial insemination is also used when you and your partner have ability to produce egg and sperm, but unable to combine for fertilization. In this case, the sperm and eggs are inserted together into your womb and then allow it to develop on its own.

A surgery is recommended to unblock your fallopian tubes when they are blocked. Once the surgery is done successfully, you have an increased chance of having pregnancy naturally.

In addition to these, a natural fertility treatment can help solve your fertility problems. For this, include a healthy diet containing vitamins (A, B, D, and E), Calcium, Magnesium, and Zinc. Avoid smoking and excess alcohol.
