Reasons for Bleeding At 11 Weeks Pregnant

Bleeding can be a traumatic experience at any point in the first trimester, particularly at the time of 11th week and 12th week of the pregnancy.

The bleeding which occurs in the first trimester stage of pregnancy ranges from light to heavy.

Miscarriage

Miscarriage is a loss of fetus earlier to the 20th week of pregnancy. Miscarriage is medically termed as spontaneous abortion, but according to the common definition this is not termed as abortion. Most of the miscarriages happen within the first 3 months of pregnancy. Miscarriages will occur less likely after the twenty weeks gestation. These are called as late miscarriages. Cervical changes

Ectopic pregnancy

Bleeding may be an indication of ectopic pregnancy, when an implantation of fertilized egg takes place in the womb outside. This fertilized egg cannot grow well and if the pregnancy continuous, your health may be at risk. So this egg should be removed through medicines or operation. The symptoms for ectopic pregnancy may include vaginal bleeding during Pregnancy, bowel pain, vomiting, diarrhea, one side pain of abdomen.

Solution or prevention

For preventing the bleeding during the 11th week, avoid exercising strenuously, lifting up heavy things and standing for a very long time.

Misconceptions

Most of the women expect that the bleeding which occurs during the 11th week is a sign of miscarriage. But the American Pregnancy Association determines that half of the pregnant women who come across the bleeding in the time of first trimester do not proceed to have a miscarriage.
