Signs of Miscarriage at 15 Weeks Pregnant

A miscarriage is a spontaneous abortion within the first twenty weeks of the pregnancy. Most of the miscarriages occur through the first thirteen weeks of the pregnancy.

A miscarriage in the 15th week is not common but it is not an uncommon point to take place.

Miscarriages are usually associated with the vaginal bleeding or spotting, passing of a tissue-kind discharge, back pain and abdominal cramps.

Here we specify the signs of miscarriage at 15 weeks pregnant.

The most common sign of miscarriage is vaginal bleeding. This bleeding can be heavy or light, and irregular or constant. If you notice any blood, don’t feel panic and just call your healthcare provider.

Some women may also experience spotting in the early pregnancy. Nearly half of those result in a miscarriage. If you experience any cramp along with the bleeding or spotting, this could signify a serious problem

Vaginal spotting or bleeding

Look for the vaginal spotting or bleeding signs during the 1st twenty weeks of the gestation. Bleeding signifies a threatened miscarriage, which is a warning sign for the pregnancy.

Most of the pregnant women who experience vaginal bleeding or spotting in their early pregnancy will have good healthy babies, but some women will have a miscarriage. Your physician may ask for ultrasound or blood tests. A close analysis by the doctor could reveal thinned or widened cervix which is an another hint of miscarriage.

Lower back pain and abdominal cramps

If you experience gentle to severe lower back pain and abdominal cramps along with the vaginal bleeding, it could signify inevitable abortion or incomplete miscarriage. This is the fetus loss but the contents of the uterine are retained within the mother’s body. The risk of experiencing a miscarriage is unavoidable when there is membranes rupture or the premature dilation cervix before the total development of the fetus.

Other symptoms

If there is a cramping as well as vaginal bleeding and, probably, a fluid gush from the vagina and fetal tissue discharge, may signify a completed miscarriage with the amniotic sac breakage which surrounds the fetus. Other symptoms may also include loss of tender as well as blood clots, nausea caused through the morning sickness and swelling breasts. In most of the cases, bleeding is resolved rapidly. A completed miscarriage can be checked by means of ultrasound. Curettage and dilation surgery may be required to remove the tissue gently from the uterus lining.
