The Problem of Adenomyosis
The body of a woman has an intriguingly complex structure. The delicate gentiles have many ways of hinting at what is going wrong. The symptoms of Adenomyosis range from no signs to severe menstrual cramps, heavy bleeding, abdominal pressure and bloating before menstruation cycle. The causative of adenomyosis is unknown; it is though believed that the female hormones can have a role to play in bringing about this medical condition.
It is recommended to consult a gynecologist if any of the above symptoms are observed .Though in earlier years of medical techniques ,hysterectomy was performed for examining your uterine tissues along with other probing method that are indeed invasive but in the present day scenario a simple MRI can help in diagnosing your condition.
Adenomyosis and Fertility
Menstrual cramps, severe bleeding, abdominal pressure and bloating, though treated temporarily with over the counter medications most of the time, are indicative of something more serious going on in your uterus.
According to recent studies that have been carried out on animal and human uterine conditions, it is believed that in a way it does cause infertility, though we are yet to have a concrete proof of the same. It is hence recommended that proper diagnosis must be carried out and treatment must be executed with full strictness so as to eliminate any such possibility of having an aggravated condition of adenomyosis. If you suffer from any of the given symptoms, do not delay and get an appointment as soon as possible. Painful as it is, it has the potentiality of being a threat to your fertility.
Treatment methods
Alternative treatments may include use of anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), such as ibuprofen, what this does is that it decreases the pain and tries to make monthly periods normal.
There are number of surgeries also available for women who find it difficult to attain pregnancy and some of them are laparoscopic surgery, cytoreductive surgery, uterine artery embolization (cuts off the blood flow to the affected area by shrinking the damage). These are some treatment options available to women who are suffering from Adenomyosis and want to have a baby in their lives.
